Faraway Files #61

Travel Blog Community

SHARING TRAVEL STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Hej from Copenhagen! That’s Danish for Hi! If you know me, you’ve probably heard me say it. Or you’ve read it here on the blog. Hej! Don’t worry it’s pronounced the same as Hi! At least for an American. *wink wink. This past December marked our three year anniversary of living in Denmark. And this month is my three-year blog-iversary. Yep. That’s a thing. What started as a way to share posts about my life in Denmark that were just a little too long for Facebook has become something so much more. And I just wanted to say thank you to those who have visited, read, supported, commented, shared and high fived me along the way.

The Faraway Files community has been a huge part of my blog’s evolution and inspiration. To those of you who link up and connect with us weekly, we appreciate you! Thank you for posts. For those who just look to Faraway Files for some weekly wanderlusting, thank you too! Where to this week travel peeps? Please feel free to jump in, the water’s fine! But first, a shout out to some favorites from my last hosting.

Faraway Files Favorites Week #59

Deeptha of The Globe Trotter, a newcomer to the Faraway Files Community showed us 25 reasons we should all consider seeing the Azores, a stunning string of islands off the coast of Portugal. It is so lush and green and her images are swoonworthy. In case you missed it, click on the image below and check out her post.

Rhonda of Albom Adventures speaks about how street art can help a city recover, emotionally and physically in the aftermath of an earthquake. Christchurch, New Zealand is clearly a mecca for colorful public art.

And because its all shades of grey here in Copenhagen this January, I’m needing some sunny beach vibes and Caity of Pamplemousse Papers has them in spades with her post about Tulum, Mexico. It takes me back, more years than I want to admit, but I can almost feel those white sand beaches and taste the tacos.

This week, I’m sharing some sunny blue skies of my own. Taking you to Athens Greece. It is all sorts of awesome. We adored it. Come see why.

FARAWAY FILES TRAVEL BLOG COMMUNITY LINKUP #61

WANT TO JOIN IN?

Jump in! The water is fine! Faraway Files is a creative community of travel bloggers who inspire, engage and share each other’s posts. All participating hosts will read and comment on every post that participates in the spirit of the link up. We will also share them on social media too. Each week we’ll choose our favorite posts and highlight them on our blogs and social media channels using #FarawayFiles.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Link up one travel-related post and add the Faraway Files badge onto the post or your blog (code below) or link back to the hosts.
  • The link-up will go live every Thursday at 8 am UK time (9 am, CET) until midnight on Friday. It will alternate between Fifi + Hop, Hilary Style, Oregon Girl Around the World, Suitcases and Sandcastles, and Untold Morsels. Check Twitter #FarawayFiles to confirm who is hosting each week.
  • Link ups work best if everyone engages so please comment on each of the hosts’ posts and at least two others that take your fancy.
