SHARING TRAVEL STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Hej from Copenhagen! Calling all travelers today. Take me somewhere far away. Last week was our fall break and we stayed right here in Denmark. Lucky for us it was terribly beautiful with colorful fall foliage in fine form and sunny, sunny blue skies. This week? Not so much. Back to our regularly scheduled Danish fall for now. But it’s ok because I’ve been hoarding up color like a squirrel for winter. And winter is coming. I can feel it. So today, let’s get inspired. Tell us where you’ve been and what to put on our list. It’s travel blog link up time.

FAVORITES FROM FARAWAY FILES #96

Thank you to everyone who connected and engaged and linked up last week. Based on favorites from co-host Hilary of Hilary Style, I already have a few places to put on my list. All of these three look simply dreamy. Shout out to the following bloggers:

Janis and Gary of Our World for You shared this gorgeous and charming French city Villefranche-sur-Mer. The Côte D’Azur is calling, I’d love to answer!

Pop over and peruse the beauty of Budapest. Click on this gorgeous photo from Sharon of Exploring our World. It definitely puts Budapest back on the top of my wishlist again.

Last, but definitely not least – Portugal is pretty as a picture in The Pamplemousse Papers post. Thanks Caity – I’m smitten with this vintage VW. Reminds me of my first car! (It was a 1971 VW bug, beige, not blue. But that’s cool.)

And because one vintage beetle deserves another, I just had to post my baby blue VW bug found on the streets of 1974 Denmark. Part of the recreated open-air history museum called Den Gamle By in Aarhus where you can get down, get down learning about Danish life from days gone by. Walk back in time from the 1970’s to the 1570’s.

WANT TO JOIN IN?

Jump in! The water is fine! Faraway Files is a creative community of travel bloggers who inspire, engage and share each other’s posts. All participating hosts will read and comment on every post that participates in the spirit of the link up. We will also share them on social media too. Each week we’ll choose our favorite posts and highlight them on our blogs and social media channels using #FarawayFiles.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Link up one travel-related post and add the Faraway Files badge onto the post or your blog (code below) or link back to the hosts.
  • The link-up will go live every Thursday at 8 am UK time (9 am, CET) until midnight on Friday. It will alternate between Fifi + Hop, Hilary Style, Oregon Girl Around the World, Suitcases and Sandcastles, and Untold Morsels. Check Twitter #FarawayFiles to confirm who is hosting each week.
  • Link ups work best if everyone engages so please comment on each of the hosts’ posts and at least two others that take your fancy.
