SHARING TRAVEL STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Welcome back travel people! It’s been an epic summer here in Denmark. But I can already feel the seasonal tide of autumn daring to descend. And I’m ok with that. Fall is fantastisk here. How about you? Holding fast to the last bits of summer? Don’t get me wrong. I will take as many sunny bluebird days as Denmark affords me, but I was ready for the cooler temperatures this year. Two weeks in Isreal was more than enough warm for this Northerner. Although take me back to that hummus! Where have you been exploring? Time to share. Faraway Files travel blog community link up is open again. Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to.

FAVORITES FROM FARAWAY FILES #88

But first – a shout out to my favorites from our last linkup at the beginning of August.

If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of “meeting” or reading any of Mark and Paul’s posts over at Anywhere We Roam, do so immediately. Always gorgeous photos of unique places, like this piece about hiking off the beaten path in Iceland’s geothermal mountains. Great tips on how to get there and what you will exclaim once reaching the summit.

Danielle from the blog No Longer Native shared a few insider tips as a local in Madrid where the big art museums like the Prado and Sofia Reina can at times be overwhelming, especially during peak tourism season. She recommends trying these smaller art galleries and experiences when in the capital of Spain.

Gary and Janis of Our World For You blog take some pretty epic road trips. This one that takes you through little coastal towns along the Portuguese coast north of Lisbon looks so amazingly lovely. I love the colorful buildings and boats and beautiful beaches.

This week I’m sharing a few places to find a vista with a view here in Copenhagen. This place is flat. Which is great for bikes, but not so great for seeing the city from above. Lucky for you, there are many a tower to step inside!

WANT TO JOIN IN?

Jump in! The water is fine! Faraway Files is a creative community of travel bloggers who inspire, engage and share each other’s posts. All participating hosts will read and comment on every post that participates in the spirit of the link up. We will also share them on social media too. Each week we’ll choose our favorite posts and highlight them on our blogs and social media channels using #FarawayFiles.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Link up one travel-related post and add the Faraway Files badge onto the post or your blog (code below) or link back to the hosts.
  • The link-up will go live every Thursday at 8 am UK time (9 am, CET) until midnight on Friday. It will alternate between Fifi + Hop, Hilary Style, Oregon Girl Around the World, Suitcases and Sandcastles, and Untold Morsels. Check Twitter #FarawayFiles to confirm who is hosting each week.
  • Link ups work best if everyone engages so please comment on each of the hosts’ posts and at least two others that take your fancy.
