FORTY-SEVEN WEEKS OF SHARING TRAVEL STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Usually, I love autumn for its natural slowing of pace, but this fall has been busy y’all! In the very best way. Thank you to everyone in the Faraway Files Travel Blog Community who linked up and shared last week. Here are my favorites! Haven’t seen them? No worries – click on the pics and pop over to the posts.

Faraway Files Favorites Week #46

Have you been to Utah in the Southwest United States? It is one of my favorite places on the planet. But you’re from Oregon – right? And I just figured out exactly where Oregon is to be honest. It’s above California! Yes. I am an Oregon Girl. But something about the red, red rocks and quirky landscapes of Southern Utah is mesmerizing to me. Hilary Gudgel at Hilary Style Me shared a bit of her road trip through red rocks territory through several National Parks. But it is always Arches National Park that I love. Those red rocks against that blue blue sky. Can you see why?

Come to Cambodia says Cathy Winston of Mummy Travels. And stay in these eco-friendly floating lodges along this pristine and peaceful river in the Cardamom Mountains. Take your virtual kayak over to her post to check it out.

Catherine Boardman of Cultural Wednesdays offered up a plate of yummy Dutch tastes that even her teens couldn’t turn down. Dutch apple pie anyone? Taking a local food tour is one delicious way to keep tourism sustainable and explore the world.

Milly from Mini Adventures takes us to Brighton for the weekend. I’ve never been, but have always wanted to go. It seems the perfect blend of old and new, kitsch and cool. And I’m a sucker for granny bikes with wicker baskets. Is it the Copenhagen in me? What’s not to love?

A WEEKEND IN BRIGHTON | Mini Adventures

This week I’m sharing a little secret oasis of sculpture and culture in the center of Copenhagen. And you can see it for free! The Glyptoteket is Carlsberg’s gift to the city.

FARAWAY FILES TRAVEL BLOG COMMUNITY LINKUP #47

WANT TO JOIN IN?

Jump in! The water is fine! Faraway Files is a creative community of travel bloggers who inspire and share each other’s posts. All participating hosts will read and comment on every post that participates in the spirit of the link up. We will also share them on social media too. Each week we’ll choose our favorites and highlight them on our blogs and social media channels using #FarawayFiles.

As Faraway Files hosts, Katy, Clare and I love our link up and this supportive travel community. With over 130 contributors, we have read about 80 countries and territories around the world. If you join in and leave a link please reciprocate and comment on the hosts’ posts as well as at least two others that spark an interest. If we see a pattern of people not joining in, sadly we have decided to remove the links of those posters in the future.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Link up one travel-related post and add the Faraway Files badge onto the post or your blog (code below) or link back to the hosts.
  • The link up will go live every Thursday at 8 am UK time (9 am, CET) until midnight on Friday. It will alternate between Untold Morsels, Suitcases and Sandcastles, and Oregon Girl around the World.
  • Link ups work best if everyone shares so please comment on all three of the hosts’ posts and at least two others.

Ha, trust me. There is NOTHING like proper Dutch apple pie. I make a decent one myself, I you don’t mind me saying so 😉
