TRAVEL BLOG COMMUNITY
spring is sprung
Pat my own back. Toot my own horn. I have successfully navigated another Scandinavian vinter. Even armed with all the trappings of some lovely Danish hygge and candles and playlists, by March I am near done with the weather here in Denmark. But right in the nick of time, the sun breaks out and the sky is a brilliant blue. Blooms push up through the earth and everyone is out. Soaking it up.
FAVORITES WEEK #21
My favorite posts from last week share a common thread. They all offer a place or an experience off the tourist track. Doing something beyond what people think you are supposed to do in a certain destination. I love this.
Let’s start in Morocco. A virtual high five and super warm welcome to our 100th blogger linking with Faraway Files! Woot woot! Seriously – that is cool. Velkommen Milly! That’s welcome in Danish. But, you probably figured that out. Milly shared her adventure surfing with camels in Morocco. Oh sorry, surfing at a beach where there are camels. Either, amazing photography and honest description will have you wondering if you can do it too.

And Allison from Becoming a Traveling Family showed us that there is more to the state of Illinois than the mega-opolis of Chicago. Getting outside and exploring a little fresh air and history.

Babies on safari? Baby wildebeests that is! Lillian from The Smalls Abroad shared why you should choose Madikwe Game Preserve in South Africa for your safari adventure. And while safaris may not be so unique when visiting South Africa, Madikwe is not the mainstream choice. I’m in. Sign me up.

And finally, Sharon from Exploring Our World takes us on a bike tour in the town of Versailles. Living in Copenhagen, we love our bikes. And I know I’d love that French food market. Thanks for sharing!

So where to this week? Join in or just read. We’re happy to have you along for the ride!
Cheers from Copenhagen, Erin
FARAWAY FILES TRAVEL BLOG COMMUNITY LINKUP #22
WANT TO JOIN IN?
We’d love you to join us in building this supportive and growing community who will inspire and share each other’s posts. All three hosts will try to read and comment on every post and we’ll share them on social media too. Each week we’ll choose our favorites and highlight them on our blogs and social media channels using #FarawayFiles.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Link up one travel-related post and add the Faraway Files badge onto the post or your blog (code below) or link back to the hosts.
- The link up will go live every Thursday at 8 am UK time (9 am, CET) until midnight on Friday. It will alternate between Untold Morsels, Suitcases and Sandcastles, and Oregon Girl around the World.
- Link ups work best if everyone shares so please comment on all three of the hosts’ posts and at least two others.
